I am interested in THz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) at large, with a focus on instrument development. My recent focus has been two-color plasma generated radiation, which has bandwidth components spanning the entire far-infrared spectrum as well as part of the mid-infrared. I am also interested in broadband coherent detection as a means of determination of the full optical properties of materials. Now that my Ph.D. thesis is done, I have started research as a Senior Scientist at the Newport Corporation in Irvine, California (in July 2013).
