Dense Seismic Survey in Rosecrans, Los Angeles, CA

The survey described here was conducted by LA Seismic using the Fairfield Node System on behalf of BreitBurn Energy. We thank Henry Biggart of Geokinetics for providing vibrator sources for the survey. The target is the Rosecrans oilfield in southern Los Angeles, CA. The survey was done July 28 - August 27, 2013, and consisted of approximately 2000 sensors.

The above table is a list of earthquakes from the CISN catalog for this region during the survey. The column 'Num' refers to the earthquake label in the above plot. The ID is the SCSN id for the event. The last column is a link to an mpg movie of the event.

Correlations with SCSN

The data from the Rosecrans array were correlated with the neighboring SCSN stations as part of a project to extend the analysis into the Los Angeles Basin. They were collected in a master time versus of profile by stacking. Correlations and figiures by Zhe Jia.
