I am currently a post-doc at UC-Santa Cruz in the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics.  My research interests are fairly broad but I mainly focus on the characterization of extrasolar planet and substellar object atmospheres.  I currently work with Jonathan Fortney on determining the compositions of exoplanet and brown dwarf atmospheres and the different governing chemical mechanisms.  In my free time I enjoy astrophotography, backpacking in national parks, brewing beer, remote control airplanes, and Badger football.
