Hi, I am a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Division of Geological and Planetary Sciences at Caltech. My research focuses on the sedimentology, stratigraphy and mineralogy of planetary surfaces. I am currently funded by the NASA Astrobiology Institute Postdoctoral Program to work with Dr. John Grotzinger on interpreting the stratigraphy and mineralogy of significant sections on Mars (at Gale Crater, NE Syrtis Major and Juventae Chasma). The aim of my research is to help constrain the habitability of ancient environments on Mars. I also work on operations for the active Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) and Mars Exploration Rover (MER) missions.

I received my Ph.D. in January of 2012 in the Department of Astronomy at Cornell University, with minor concentrations in Geology and Science Communication. My thesis, advised by Dr. Jim Bell, was titled "Annals of a Former World: The Remnants of Water at Gusev Crater and Eberswalde Crater, Mars."
