I am a PhD candidate at the California Institute of Technology studying astrobiology, habitability, and planetary atmospheres with Professor Yuk L. Yung and researchers at Caltech and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. My other passions include photography, graphic design, journalism, writing, public speaking, and playing a variety of team sports. I host a podcast called Strange New Worlds, which examines science, technology, and culture through the lens of Star Trek.
I am a sucker for beautiful prose. Stingrays and snakes are some of my favorite animals. I like to do all my important work while drinking boba. I cheer for Bay Area teams in all sports except for soccer, where I like watching Seattle Sounders FC. Gryffindor. I still haven't outgrown my childhood dream of being an astronaut. Zootopia and Interstellar are my favorite recent movies. I enjoy writing letters—and stationary in general. If I could have one superpower, it would be the ability to read in the car.
