About Me

I am a postdoctoral scholar in planetary science at Caltech, having recently defended my doctoral thesis with David Stevenson as my advisor. My primary interest is how the dynamics of planetary interiors govern the evolution of their surfaces and atmospheres. Specifically, I study the energetics of Earth's magnetic field and the divergent volcanic and tectonic histories of Venus and Earth. Other research targets include icy satellites like Titan and Enceladus, hot Jupiter exoplanets, and fluid mechanics in various gravities. I received my bachelor's degree in Astronomy & Physics and Geology & Geophysics from Yale University in 2012 and my master's from Caltech in 2014.
