Christopher Spalding

Welcome to my website. I am currently a 5th year Ph.D. student in Planetary Science at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). My thesis work is primarily focussed on studying the mechanisms governing planetary formation and their subsequent dynamical evolution. However, my interests range widely. I have written about how stars might become flipped on their heads, asked how costly ocean acidification is to shellfish and wondered about how species go extinct over time. Feel free to read about these and my other interests, or check out my published work. I welcome comments/discussion/questions.
