Shaelyn Silverman

Shaelyn is a first-year student in geobiology who joined our research group in August 2018. She is interested in using the isotopic composition of amino acids as biomarkers for both modern and ancient metabolic processes. She earned dual B.A. degrees in Molecular Biology and Neurobiology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, where she did a senior thesis with Sebastian Kopf. Shae is an NSF Graduate Research fellow.
