Welcome to my unobtrusive, unupdated virtual presence.

I am a postdoc at the Seismolab of Caltech in Pasadena, California, working on computational seismology at local to global scales.

I got my Ph.D. in geophysics from Princeton University (Nov. 2007), and a geophysics Diplom/M.Sc. from Ludwigs-Maximilians-Universität in my hometown of Munich, Germany. More on that: my vita.

Broadly defined, my research interests are:
    + Earth structure and dynamics
+ Global seismology, seismic wave propagation
+ Numerical algorithms, forward and inverse methods

Any questions (or answers) regarding these subsurficial interests, or any potential supersurficial interests? Contact me.
